香港大学発の企業様の依頼で、実証実験用パーツを翌日製作

3MFデータ → 翌日に高松市内で手渡し ／ 実証実験用パーツ

日本で実証実験を行っていた香港大学発の企業から、「部品を本国に置いてきた。日曜までに要る」と金曜の午後にご相談をいただきました。届いた3MFデータ（約46×55×68mm）をそのまま造形し、ご注文のPLA版に加えて、レジン版と表面を平滑処理したASA版もサンプルとして同梱。もう一種類の部品は柔らかいTPUで、薄い部分は造形の限界を下回ることを事前にお伝えしたうえで、データどおりに出力しました。翌日の夜、高松市内で直接お渡し。後日「部品は完璧で、実験は成功した」とご連絡をいただきました。

A company spun out of the University of Hong Kong contacted us on a Friday afternoon during a field test in Japan: their spare parts were back home and they needed replacements by Sunday. We printed the supplied 3MF file (roughly 46 × 55 × 68 mm) as-is, and alongside the ordered PLA version we included a resin version and a surface-smoothed ASA version as samples. A second part was printed in flexible TPU exactly to the file, after explaining that its thinnest sections were below what can be printed reliably. We handed everything over in person in Takamatsu the following night, and later heard that the parts were perfect and the test was a success.
